Another year is drawing to a close and we’re starting to get in the party spirit here at Digitex. As you know if you’re close to the project, 2019 has been an eventful year for us. We’ve had plenty of highs and lows, but (luckily for everyone) the high points have been far greater! Next year will be a very special one for everyone involved with the #DFE. We’d like to wish you all a very happy New Year and give you a sneak peek of what’s coming in 2020.
Preparing the Platform for Mainnet
The developers have been working so hard on the Digitex exchange since they took over for us in May. They released an exceptional report with all the details right before the holidays, which you can see in full detail by visiting their blog here.
It lays out all the work that has been done since the beta launch on Nov 30–and all the painstakingly detailed development that the exchange will undergo before the mainnet release. This includes building up the back office, stepping up security with 2FA, and implementing third-party KYC.
We’re already working on a brand-new UI (which, according to Adam, is “totally sick”), and plenty more tools for traders. There are also internal and external security audits involved and, of course, constant, ongoing stress-testing.
Upcoming Trading Tournaments
To ensure that our testers keep up their enthusiasm for using the platform, true to our word, we’re working on a spectacular trading tournament system. We’ll be announcing the details of this shortly after the holiday break, so keep your eyes open for updates on our socials and blog.
We’ll let you know all about it very soon but, suffice to say, it will be a real Digitex-style contest with high stakes and plenty of cash prizes available! Testers will be able to improve their skills on our beta while competing to win DGTX – plus a few additional benefits besides…
Further Plans for the Rest of the Year
After the mainnet release (the date of which we will confirm as soon as we get the green light from the developers), you can expect plenty more from Digitex in 2020. Among the plans (many of which are already under development) are a public API, a mobile app, social features (some of which you’ve already seen), and spot markets – commission-free, of course.
As detailed in the development report, we continue to research and work on the noncustodial side of the exchange. We can’t make promises that this will be fully ready over the next 12 months, but we’re certainly going to do all in our power to make it possible as the technology is available.
Happy New Year from All of Us
Whichever way you celebrate the New Year, we’d like to wish you a very happy one from Adam and the team. We’re so thankful to all the Digitex community for helping us to reach this point. We couldn’t have done it without you. We have so much on the horizon for the coming year, so stay with us and help us make 2020 an unforgettable one for Digitex and for cryptocurrency trading in general.
