With its tree-lined boulevards in full bloom, Paris is the perfect springtime destination. But this year, there’s an even better reason to visit the city of love. From 15-19 April, the French capital will welcome thousands of blockchain entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and policymakers from around the world during Paris Blockchain week. Digitex Futures CEO Adam Todd will be speaking at the PBW Summit and participating in a panel as well.
Sharing the Stage with Our Advisors Bad Crypto
At Digitex Futures, we’re not the only ones getting excited over the burgeoning blockchain scene in France. Our advisors, Bad Crypto duo Joel Comm and Travis Wright will be setting up their very own stage at the event as well.
Billed to be one of the highlights of the summit, the Bad Crypto Stage Show will be recorded from the main panel stage and turned into a podcast for the rest of the world to hear.
Along with a host of high-profile speakers and industry heavyweights, they’ll be interviewing Adam on the first day of the Summit, on 16th April at 5 PM. Add that to your calendar now!
Exactly two weeks before our public launch, the Paris Blockchain Week Summit couldn’t come at a better time. This is a perfect opportunity for Adam to share the importance of what we’ve been building in front of like-minded industry thought leaders. He’ll also be showcasing how Digitex will impact the industry in the very near future.
AMA Panel: Exchanges & Brokers on the French Tech Stage
Adding his strong opinions, trading experience, and expertise to the panel discussion, Adam will be joining Edward Woodford co-founder of SeedCX, and Zahreddine Touag co-founder of Woorton in a fascinating discussion on exchanges and brokers on the French Tech Stage on 16th April at 1:20 PM.
With SeedCX and Woorton both large players targeting institutional investors, it will be interesting to hear Adam’s opinions on why retail investors are equally key in cryptocurrency trading and where Digitex is headed.
Paris Blockchain Week Takes Place April 13-19
Despite being the home of some of the largest players in the industry such as Ledger, France hasn’t been at the forefront of blockchain adoption so far. All that looks about to change, however, as the city prepares to host one of Europe’s largest events dedicated to blockchain professionals.
Having recently voted in the PACTE law that takes a flexible and open-minded approach to emerging tech, France is proving that innovation is welcome in its country. The Paris Blockchain Week also has the full backing of the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, as well as the Secretary of State for Digital Affairs.
One of the key goals of the conference organizers is to put France firmly on the map as a new destination for blockchain and cryptocurrency companies. Throughout the week, there will be hackathons, plenty of keynotes, workshops, and abundant networking opportunities as well.
Catch Adam Speaking at the PBW Summit
If you want to catch our charismatic CEO speaking on stage and debating in the panel, why not come along? The Summit is a two-day long conference held at Station F in Paris. You’ll be able to see your favorite futures trader speaking candidly about the crypto scene and Digitex’ place in it just two weeks before the platform launch.
You’ll also be able to rub shoulders with other key industry personalities including Tezos co-Founder Arthur Breitman, Ripple’s Global Head of Banking Marjan Delatinne, eToro’s CEO Yoni Assia, and the Executive Director of the Ethereum Community Fund, QJ Wang–to name just a few!
Speakers will be discussing a plethora of topics covering all areas related to blockchain. You can take your pick from the future of regulation to decentralized exchanges, PoW vs PoS, and even the integration of AI in distributed algorithms.
France Is Throwing Its Hat in the Ring
With smaller countries like Switzerland and Malta becoming known for their friendlier stance on blockchain companies, France is now stepping up to the plate.
Not only did President Emmanual Macron recently advocate the use of blockchain for supply chain management in European agriculture, but the French parliament recently allocated €500 million to the development of blockchain technology in France.
Major French supermarket chain Carrefour, AXA Insurance Group, and BNP Paribas are all top on the list of blockchain adoption in their businesses. Even street artists are spreading the word about Bitcoin in France through their murals.
At Digitex, we welcome any positive moves from regulators, businesses, and governments in this space. It’s all a positive sign that progress is being made and that cryptocurrencies are here to stay.
